Tackling child malnutrition

View descriptionShare

In South Africa today, 27% of children under five are stunted  meaning that these children will likely not reach their full growth and developmental potential. Despite our status as one of the most developed countries in Africa, we continue to grapple with the issue of childhood stunting. We are in conversation with Food Justice Journalist, Naledi Sikhakhane as we unpack a pilot programme by the Western Cape Health and Wellness Department, in partnership with DG Murray Trust and Department of the Premier to reduce stunting and malnutrition in children.
