Alcohol consumption is the third-largest contributor to death and disability, after sexually transmitted infections and violence, in South Africa and as the festive season approaches, the Drinks Federation of South Africa is calling on South Africans not only to celebrate responsibly and but has also called on alcohol traders to prioritize community safety.We are joined by the Head of Research at Drinks Federation, Dr Shamal Ramesar to unpack what needs to be done to prevent further harm this festive season.
