The award winning Simphiwe Dana joins Morio Sanyane in studio in this week’s edition of POWER Week. After a 5-year album hiatus, she returns to the scene with a fresh Malian take on her music, with an album inspired by her experience in Bamako.

On this candid conversation about life and music, Simphiwe shares more about her upbringing and early stages of her career and also touches on social issues in the country. During the show, we also sample her new single, Usikhonzile from her upcoming album. 

The song, she says, is a dedication to an undisclosed character who the South African jazz/soul musician sings praises to and who's who is a friend of many people in this country.
