Government forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) quashed a coup attempt on Saturday night, involving both foreign and Congolese participants. The leader, U.S.-based Congolese Christian Malanga, was killed. In related news, two U.S. citizens on trial claimed coercion by Malanga.
