Earlier this year, a young teenager from Limpopo invented an earpiece that alerts when one is in danger.

The earpiece is specifically geared to women who find themselves in trouble.  

In an interview here on POWER Breakfast, Bohlale Mphahlele said the invention came about as a result of her concern about the high crime rate in the country.  

She is presently a learner at SJ van der Merwe.   

To tell her story, POWER 98.7 visited her – her school – and spoke to her teachers – her parents – and explored the village she is growing up in. 

All because we know that ultimately we are the product of the people and the places that shape us. 

The documentary, Bohlale is a rural girl, speaks to who she is and why she is who she is.
