The Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) in the North West Legislature has raised sharp questions over the appointment and subsequent reappointment of Mzwandile Mkhize as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Mogwase-based Moses Kotane Local Municipality. Mkhize, who previously served as the CFO for the West Rand District Municipality in Gauteng, was first appointed to the Moses Kotane municipality in 2018 and was reappointed to the position in 2024.
