The Public Investment Corporation (PIC), South Africa’s largest asset manager, has placed its chief executive, Patrick Dlamini, on precautionary suspension. This decisive action comes ahead of an independent investigation into whistleblower allegations leveled against him. The move marks a dramatic escalation in the ongoing governance crisis that has engulfed the state-owned asset manager over the past month.
