As severe weather events intensify across South Africa, the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities has stressed the urgent need to protect persons with disabilities during floods and storms. The department is calling for inclusive disaster planning, accessible emergency responses, and legal protection to ensure no one is left behind.
