The use of the bucket toilet system remains a persistent problem in several municipalities across the country.  Statistics South Africa (Stats SA) reported that bucket toilets remain a thorn in the flesh of several municipalities despite the general decline.  TT is in conversation with Commissioner and a research advisor at the South African Human Rights Commission, Dr. Henk Boshoff and Deputy Director-General for Water and Sanitation Services at the Department of Water and Sanitation, Dr. Risimati Mathye.
