In February, the DA-led government took a council decision, which reversed the contract conversions of the staffers from fixed term to permanent. today the 130 City of Johannesburg employees who’s contracts were set to change from permanent to fixed term as it had previously indicated will remain in permanent employment following their Labour Court victory. we speak to some of the employees who were affected by this decision and how the battle to keep their jobs has affected them.
