ABOUT THE GUEST

Former beauty editor Lauren Ezekiel’s understanding of the UK beauty market is second to none. With over a decade of experience, writing one of the most eagerly-awaited columns in the UK’s most read magazine, Lauren gained popularity with brands and retailers vying for this all-important nod of approval. From writing long investigative features to interviewing celebrities, she spearheaded all the beauty content in the magazine, regularly directing and producing photoshoots in the UK and abroad.

Lauren's role enabled her to gain experience working on commercial campaigns for the likes of Rimmel London, Maybelline, Braun, Kiehl's Since 1851, St Tropez, Olay, Herbal Essence, Max Factor, Redken, L’Oréal Professionnel, Clairol, OPI, Aussie and Superdrug.

Aside from her role at the magazine, Lauren has consulted for a number of leading beauty brands including Fake Bake, Batiste, Maybelline, Superdrug, Floral Street, Let’s Sanitise, Haze and Le Jeune Skin. As part of her consultation, she has provided brand and product development, copywriting, PR material, and visual direction.

During the first lockdown, Lauren decided to use her time and contacts to show NHS and care workers we were grateful for them, we appreciated them, and we saw them. With her eye for strategy and hardworking ethos, she turned her appeal We C U 2020 into a nationwide success. Managing to secure over 350,000 products from nearly 100 different brands and retailers. These products were then distributed to over 400 hospitals throughout the UK. She inspired a team of 120 volunteers from a hub in London and Manchester to create in excess of 40,000 goody bags. The appeal also donated tens of thousands of essential toiletries to food banks and homeless shelters, as well as over 6000 bottles of hand soap to schools. The appeal was recognised by the Prime Minister (Point of Light award, June 2020) The Telegraph, Independent, Metro, British Citizens Awards, The Sun and Sunday Times Style.
