LISTEN: President Cyril Ramaphosa says the recent naval exercise that included an Iranian warship was an operation led by China, adding that South Africa was merely the ‘host waters’.

Calls have mounted for the president to take action against the SANDF after it allegedly defied his authority by including Iran in the recent ‘will for power naval exercise in Simons Town last week.

A board of inquiry has since been established to investigate the participation of Iran, following the political unrest in that country, where thousands of protesters have died.
