As the Johannesburg Property Company prepares to refurbish the Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, criminals are increasingly vandalizing the historical site. The Square that hosted the signing of the Freedom Charter in 1955 is currently in shambles. Steel door frames and copper cables have been stripped off to be sold at nearby scrap yards.
