In these colourful and proud pages, Tshego Magolego follows a gender-diverse Soweto child by the name Sipho to their first day at the big school. Like everyone else, they are excited to start grade 1 at Ratanang Primary School in Soweto. But there is a problem, their class mates and teachers call them different for wearing a lush pink dress to school, but also for presenting as ambiguous and non-binary.
