The Congress of Traditional Leaders in South Africa wants the government to officially recognise the 8th of May as National Ancestors Day. They say will go a long way to de-stigmatise the age-old tradition of communicating and acknowledging ancestors amongst Africans.
Sangoma and spiritual storyteller Gogo Dineo Ndlanzi, said National Ancestors’ Day would be a catalyst to economic and social acceptance of people who believe and practice African spirituality.
