31 SMU PHARMACY STUDENTS STRICKEN BY ‘EYESIGHT PROBLEMS’

The Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University has confirmed that 31 students were admitted to hospitals in Tshwane after developing eyesight problems on Thursday afternoon during their laboratory practical session.  The Bachelor of Pharmacy III students were admitted to the Tshwane District Hospital (10 students) and Pretoria West Hospital - Folateng (21 students). In a statement, the University says the laboratory was closed with immediate effect for investigations.
