The Department of Basic Education (DBE) is committed to implementing a multi-faceted approach to eliminate sexual predators from the education system. This initiative follows the Education Labour Relations Council's findings that at least 39 teachers across the country have been found guilty of sexual misconduct against learners. Most of these cases involve teachers from KwaZulu-Natal, followed by those from Gauteng. Thabiso Kotane speaks with Lukhanyo Vangqa, the Department of Education spokesperson.
