Thabiso Kotane is in conversation with candidate attorney at the Socio-Economic Rights Institute of South Africa Nerishka Singh about the way in which the courts adjudicated evictions in the Johannesburg inner city between 2013 and 2018. Researchers found 65 evictions granted by the court during this period. They were able to analyse 47 of them. Most of the applications were for tenants in Hillbrow and Yeoville.
