Residents of Sasolburg have pledged to bring the town to a standstill as six protesters appeared in court today on charges of public violence. They were arrested during demonstrations regarding allegations of unfair employment practices by Sasol. The protesting residents insist that Sasol must make decisions that benefit the community. In response, the company and the Metsimaholo municipality have called for an urgent community meeting today to find common ground.
