The Johannesburg Emergency Management Services have responded to a cable fire outbreak on the M1 South near the Smit Street exit in Braamfontein. According to the EMS spokesperson, Nana Radebe-Kgiba, firefighters responded to a call earlier today to extinguish the fire. “Parts of the M1 Highway between Smith Street and the Crown interchange have been partially closed off to traffic to allow all officials to do their work.
