After years of employees facing exploitation by their employers, most employees will finally breathe a sigh of relief.
This after the Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi launched a hotline for workers to report cases for non-compliance with the national minimum wage.
Nxesi says this hotline will ensure companies comply with the current national minimum wage which is currently sitting at R20,76 per hour.
Workers can lodge a complaint to the free Impimpa hotline by dialling *134*305#.
Speaking on POWER Drive, department of employment and labour chief director of collective bargaining Thembinkosi Mkhaliphi says this initiative will help workers report exploitation without fear of victimisation.
