Parts of Gqeberha and Kariega have experienced severe flooding following heavy rain in the Eastern Cape. About 400 matric pupils in the Eastern Cape had their exams disrupted by severe flooding in parts of Gqeberha, following heavy rainfall that caused power outages and the collapse of two bridges. The flooding hit after the SA Weather Service issued warnings ranging from levels 2 to 6 for disruptive rainfall on Monday.
