A number of roads in the greater eThekwini Metro were flooded as a result of heavy downpours which started. The torrential rains also led to some localised flooding and left business premises in surrounding areas of Durban under water. Besides a few vehicles stuck in flooded roads, there were no serious incidents reported. Disaster management teams were dispatched to monitor flood-prone areas. The Minister of Human Settlement, Thembi Simelane, is expected to visit the area this next week. Thabiso Kotane speaks to KZN COGTA Spokesperson, Senzelwe Mzila.
