The Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (Isasa) has expressed a desire to have Grade 1 pupils back to school first as opposed to Grade 7.
This comes after basic education minister Angie Motshekga announced that 1 June is the proposed date for the resumption of schools particularly Grade 7 and 12.
Motshekga said the department will use the whole of May to put measures in place to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Among other measures included providing hand sanitizers, masks and disinfecting classrooms.
Speaking on POWER Drive, Isasa executive director Lebogang Montjane says they are concerns about the Grade 1.
