Now we reflect on today’s events, as anti-illegal immigration protests led by March
and March took place in different parts of the country.
The demonstrations have once again brought South Africa’s immigration policy,
border management, government’s response, the country’s image on the continent
and globally, and the political dynamics around the issue into focus.
