Hopolang is a development finance professional and the founder CEO of Nala Growth, an impact investment management and advisory boutique established in 2018. He has vast experience in project development, project finance, deal origination, due diligence, financial modelling, deal structuring and re-structuring, post-investment/portfolio management, and development finance strategy, gained during an 8-year period working for the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). During this period, he participated in over 80 transactions (a significant number of which he was Transaction Lead), maintained a 100% credit committee approval rate, and was awarded Best Dealmaker in the Mining and Metal Industries Division in 2015 and 2016. He founded Nala Growth in April 2018 and has grown the company to a team of 10 transactors with more than R1 billion in transactions concluded to date, and another R3 billion in active mandates.
