Police minister Bheki Cele is denying claims that police assaulted and paraded feared Mamelodi taxi owner Vusi 'Khekhe' Mathibela following his arrest.
The 33-year-old handed himself over to the police in Germiston on Wednesday.
His lawyer Advocate Solomon Mkhabela had told POWER Breakfast on Thursday that Mathibela was assaulted, booked out of the holding cell and paraded at a Mamelodi taxi rank.
However, Cele refutes the allegations and says police acted within confines of the law.
