Member of Trompies, Emmanuel Mojalefa "Mjokes" Matsane has died in a car accident on Sunday morning. Record label Kalawa Jazmee announced in a stament the death of its director and pioneer kwaito star. Mjokes was part of the groundbreaking group that propelled the genre to a national stage. The group had performed on Saturday night, according to the record company. Trompies began making music in 1990 and released their debut album Sigiya Ngengoma in 1995.
