Dr Moipone Mkhwanazi, a foreign trained medical doctor (who was trained in Russia) talks to POWER Breakfast host Thabiso Tema on the concerns they have with the HPCSA and the delay in the writing of exams that would allow them to work as professional doctors in South Africa. The HPCSA is hopeful that it will conduct a round of pre-internship theory and practical examinations before the end of this year. Head of Department: Core Operations at the Health Professions Council of South Africa David Mametja also joins in on the conversation to explain how the delays could’ve have come about.
