The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) and the National Gambling Board (NGB) have formed a strategic alliance to address the growing trend of students using their educational allowances for gambling. This collaboration is designed to increase oversight at tertiary institutions, protecting vulnerable students from the risks associated with betting while ensuring that public funds are used strictly for their intended academic purposes.
