In a bid to overturn and suspend the Limpopo Liquor Act, the Limpopo High Court sitting in Polokwane postponed the matter to the 18th August 2023 due to the second applicant, the Economic Freedom Fighters having filed its supporting papers on the matter yesterday, 7th August 2023. The postponement therefore was a technical matter.Liquor traders from across the province of Limpopo were in court in large numbers supported by liquor traders from Mpumalanga and Gauteng. The EFF supporters were also in court together with artists and entertainment fraternity. Lucky Ntimane, the convenor of National Liquor Traders says liquor traders respect the court and remain confident that their submission and the merit of the case is strong enough.
