The South African Wind Energy Association (Sawea) says the long-awaited, 2019 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) shows that South Africa is transitioning to a cleaner energy future. 

On Friday, Minister of Energy, Gwede Mantashe released the energy masterplan after it was approved for promulgation by Cabinet earlier in the week.
