The Border Management Authority (BMA) says part of its function will ensure expediency in deporting illegal foreigners back to the country of their origin. 

The BMA is currently incubated in the Department of Home Affairs with plans afoot to establish it as an independent entity from next year.

The country’s porous borders have once again been brought to the spotlight following the arrests of more than 100 illegal migrants this week in Krugersdorp, West Rand.
