Janusz Waluś remains one of the most polarizing figures in South Africa’s history, remembered for his role in the assassination of anti-apartheid leader Chris Hani on April 10, 1993. The recent interview conducted by Annika Larsen on eNCA, titled Confession of an Assassin, brought to light Waluś’s perspective nearly three decades after the event that almost derailed South Africa’s transition to democracy. It was an unprecedented opportunity to hear directly from the man whose actions shaped the country’s political trajectory in the most violent way.
