For the third year in a row the City of Tshwane Municipality has failed to get a clean audit opinion. For the 2023 / 2024 financial year, the capital has received a qualified opinion with findings from the Auditor-General (AG). This is the same audit opinion it received the previous year. The AG says the action plan implemented by the Tshwane municipality management to improve the city’s audit opinion has not been effective. Thabiso Tema spoke with Cilliers Brink, Former Tshwane Mayor.
