Motsoko Pheko, a prominent figure in South Africa's struggle against apartheid, former PAC leader and prolific writer, passed away on Friday, 19 April 2024, at the age of 93. Pheko served as the PAC's deputy president from 1995 to 2003 and was subsequently elected president in 2003. He became the party's sole parliamentary representative. However, he was expelled from the PAC in 2008 due to internal disputes.
