On this week’s episode of Politricking with Tshidi Madia, as the South African Communist Party hosts its 5th Special National Conference, the General Secretary of the SACP, Solly Mapaila joined Tshidi Madia in a no holds barred interview where he started of by clarifying why the SACP is going ahead with the decision to contest independently in the next local government elections. He also spoke about the need for the reconfiguration of the alliance and what the current relationship is like in the alliance. He shared his thoughts about the current leadership in the ANC and why he thinks they are not right people to renew the ANC. He also expressed his position on the GNU and why he took this stance. He closed off the conversation by sharing his thoughts about the BELA Act and their willingness to go the legal route to make sure the act is implemented.
