This week, Jennifer welcomes Micah Jones, an Army veteran, lawyer, husband, and father, who is running for Congress in Massachusetts’ open 6th Congressional District. Micah is a former Democrat who switched to the Republican Party after witnessing a shift in political dynamics. He lives in Essex and brings extensive experience as a military officer, attorney, and advocate for bipartisan solutions. Fluent in Spanish, Micah is committed to reaching diverse communities and expanding conservative outreach in a district that spans Cape Ann, the North Shore, and the Merrimack Valley.

Micah discusses his campaign strategies, focusing on coalition-building in one of the Commonwealth’s most winnable districts for Republicans. He candidly addresses the unique challenges posed by his Democratic opponent, Dan Coe, and contrasts their positions on energy policy, fiscal responsibility, and ethical standards in Congress. Micah calls out congressional stock trading, emphasizing ethics and accountability, and shares actionable tax and energy reforms to make Massachusetts more affordable and competitive. The conversation dives into the impact of "Trump derangement syndrome", the effects of a one-party delegation on Massachusetts’ influence with the federal government, and why pragmatic, nonpartisan approaches are critical in today’s political climate. The episode urges Massachusetts voters to look beyond party labels and focus on policy substance, transparency, and real-world results.

“I really believe that Massachusetts suffers when we have a one-party congressional delegation that, in my opinion, is not inclined to work across the aisle in any way.”
 ~Micah Jones

Women on the right need a safe space to discuss politics, policy, news, and ownership over the fact that it is ok to agree to disagree. It is our First Amendment right to free speech. Before we can even out the number of women in our local, state, & federal governments, we need to empower women to feel comfortable and confident discussing these and other topics.

My name is Jennifer. I’m a single mom of three girls living in Boston. I’m a lawyer with two political science degrees, and I have no problem talking politics with people who disagree with me.

I spent three years as the Chairman of the Massachusetts GOP and ran for the very liberal Boston City Council. I’m a frequent analyst on Newsmax, Fox News Radio, and Boston Media. As a Republican in a blue state, I know a few things about how to disagree agreeably.
