Ashley Jacobs is a passionate advocate for independent schools and has a deep appreciation for the transformative impact they can have on young minds. Ashley has witnessed first-hand the cultural shifts that have occurred in many school communities, both public and independent. Motivated by a desire to ensure that children's voices are heard and that they are equipped with the skills to engage in civil discourse and critical thinking, Ashley co-founded Parents Unite. This group of dedicated parents is committed to championing diversity of thought in private schools across New England. As the executive director of Parents Unite, Ashley leads the charge in addressing the urgent need for diversity of thought in private schools. She recognizes that the outsized influence of accrediting agencies can limit the range of professional development and resources available to schools.
Today, Ashley joins me to discuss the divisive, woke agenda that teachers are being forced to teach our children and the challenges parents face in educating their children. We examine the steep rise in young girls who have been peer pressured into thinking that they want to be boys, the mental health struggles that are brought on by teaching about transgenderism, and why it’s problematic to let children determine their gender identity. We discuss the setbacks that programs like Title IX have on women’s rights, and how the program allows female athletes to be overshadowed by biological males competing against them. We also discuss the lack of transparency and accountability in schools and how parents can advocate for themselves and make their voices heard.
