The plant will tackle the scarcity of potable water in the country. 10 000 litres of water will be produced from air per day with plans to further scale up the plant to 1 million litres of water daily.

Aqua Air Africa launches first atmospheric water generating plant in SA

This Mandela day on the 18th of July, the non-profit organization Ladles of Love, has set out to break the Guinness World Record for the world's largest mosaic created entirely out of cans of food. The attempts will take place in Cape Town and Johannesburg. The food cans collected for the mosaic will be donated to communities in need and money raised will feed the hungry. For more on this initiative here's Mokgadi Itsweng, who is both a Ladles of Love Trustee and member of the global United Nations Chefs Manifesto.
