As the world slowly emerges from the clutches of COVID-19, Eswatini is not isolated from the challenges of navigating an unchartered path of cautiously opening up the economy to restart and drive to economic growth and development. Last week the country's Prime Minister announced the opening of more businesses to help ease pressure on the economy, especially on small and medium business, which are the heartbeat of the Eswatini economy. Government has observed that most of the opened businesses are complying with the hygiene and operational conditions which were implemented to prevent an uncontrollable spread of the virus. Eswatini eases COVId-19 restrictions

South Africa's Government Communications Information Systems - GCIS, has partnered with Channel Africa to broadcast Africa's webinar on the Coronavirus Disease that will reflect on celebrating Africa's living treasures. The webinar seeks to create a platform for arts and heritage practitioners in the African Union - AU, member states to exchange best practices, in celebrating Africa's heritage systems: African values, attitude and behaviours in the digital world. It will also assist the AU to revamp, harmonise and consolidate their information policies and activities. Culture and heritage are the glue that binds communities together, it is therefore imperative to celebrate the contributions of Africa's living treasures.The webinar started at 14:00 hours Central African Time. As we start looking toward recovery from the dire impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, urgent action is needed to avoid the impact of another catastrophe on the horizon: climate change. The European Union's Climate Diplomacy Week has just wrapped up South Africa. The six-day virtual event saw ambassadors from major EU countries join forces with South Africa's climate change experts in government, academia, civil society and business. The event focused on finding a "just" and "green" recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic - so that recovery efforts move toward sustainability. Global auditing firm, PwC and the United Nations Children's Fund South Africa announced details of local collaboration on International Youth Day, marked on August 12th, to help prepare young people with relevant skills to enter the workforce. This is part of a three-year global collaboration between PwC and UNICEF in support of Generation Unlimited. Generation Unlimited is a multi-sector partnership aimed at helping 1 - point - 8 billion young people transition from school to work by 2030. This collaboration will support young people who are currently outside of the workforce to develop the requisite 21st century skills to gain entry into the job market and to become entrepreneurs in the age of the fourth industrial revolution.
