Sunday was a watershed day in Australia’s pandemic recovery: cases of community transmission were recorded in four states. It’s the first time so many jurisdictions have recorded community transmission in months.
As Greater Sydney continued its two-week lockdown, parts of the Northern Territory entered a snap lockdown and Perth introduced new rules after cases were detected there. Queensland also recorded additional cases of community transmission. Several states have closed their borders.
