20 hours in the air: would you take Qantas' new long-haul flight?

View descriptionShare

Qantas has announced an order for a dozen Airbus aircraft to operate between east-coast Australia and London and New York from late 2025.

They would offer the world’s longest flights, making the other side of the world just a single flight away.

And what’s at stake with this gamble by Australia’s largest airline?

Today on Please Explain, business reporter Patrick Hatch joins Bianca Hall to discuss the longest of long-haul flights and how they could revolutionise travel.
