Thursday, January 8, 2026: It was a rare Thursday night matchup on the hardwood as Trumansburg traveled to Moravia. The Blue Devils set the tone early holding a double-digit lead after the first quarter, and fending off the Blue Raiders for a wire-to-wire 57–51 victory.

Tuesday, January 6, 2025: It was a big divisional showdown in the IAC Small School North as Union Springs and Moravia squared off in a key midseason divisional matchup. A dominant second quarter gave the Wolves a sizable halftime lead. Behind 17 points from Maddy Kalet, Union Springs earned a 49–31 road win over the Blue Devils.

Friday, December 19, 2025: An early-season showdown on the hardwood saw Marathon host Groton in an IAC Small School North divisional matchup. After a low-scoring first quarter, the teams traded baskets over the final three periods, but a decisive 9-0 run by the Olympians midway through the fourth quarter proved to be the difference, lifting Marathon to its first win of the season, 44-35.

Tuesday, December 16, 2025: An early-season showdown on the hardwood turned into a convincing victory for Candor over Newfield in an IAC Small School South matchup. The Coyotes jumped out to a 24–9 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 76–38 win over the Trojans, picking up their third victory in four games.

Friday, December 12th: At Candor Hight School, Union Springs took on Candor in thrilling triple overtime. Jakobe Foster reached 1000 career points along with his game high 39 points. After two game tying three's by Teagan Kwiatkowski, Candor wins 96 to 91.

Saturday, November 15: At Susquehanna Valley High School, Trumansburg took on Tioga for the Section Class D title. Logan Bellis finds the endzone four times for the Tigers in this lengthy, lightning delayed battle, to give Tioga the win and the title.

Friday, November 14, 2025: At Susquehanna Valley High School, Moravia took on Unatego/Franklin/GMU in the Section IV Eight-Man Football Championship. The Blue Devils and Spartans traded blows throughout the night, but Unatego found a late spark, scoring three unanswered touchdowns to pull away for a 40–20 victory and secure a spot in the New York State Eight-Man Regional Tournament.

Saturday, November 8, 2025: Under the lights at Volante Field in Dryden, Moravia faced Edison with a trip to the sectional title game on the line. Thanks to a trio of Noah Corbett touchdowns - two on the ground and a receiving score - the Blue Devils held off the Spartans 26-16 to advance to the championship game for a fourth straight season.

Saturday, November 8, 2025: From Volante Field in Dryden, the Purple Lions faced Unatego/Franklin/GMU with a trip to the sectional championship on the line. Zack Sousa got the scoring going early for the Spartans, just over two minutes and found the endzone three times, to lift Unatego to a commanding 44-6 win.

Saturday, November 1, 2025: From Sidney High School, Marathon takes on Seton Catholic for the Section IV Class C Championship. Marathon takes the lead early but the Saints march their way back to tie the game in regulation. The contest wraps in penalty kicks, with Seton Catholic advancing.

Saturday, November 1, 2025: From Sidney High School, Groton faced Elmira-Notre Dame for the Section IV Class C Girls Soccer Championship. The Red Hawks advance to the NYS Tournament off a lone goal from Jill Zigenfus.

Saturday, November 1, 2025: From Chenango Valley High School, Watkins Glen faced Chenango Forks in the Section IV Class B girls soccer championship game. The Blue Devils picked up a trio of scores from Aubrey McMullen to win their first sectional crown since 2019 and come away with a 4-1 win.

Thursday, October 30, 2025: From Waverly High School, Ithaca faced Elmira in the Section IV Class AAA boys soccer championship. After a nearly scoreless first half, the Express struck first on a rebound off a penalty kick with less than five minutes remaining, then added two more goals to secure a 3-0 victory, punching their ticket to the New York State Tournament.

Thursday, October 30, 2025: From Waverly High School, Ithaca faced Corning in the Section IV Class AAA girls soccer championship. The Little Red and Hawks battled back and forth for 80 minutes, trading chances on both ends. After two scoreless overtimes, the match ended in a 0-0 draw, making the teams co-champions. However, Ithaca’s 5-4 win in penalty kicks secured the Little Red a spot in the New York State Tournament.

Wednesday, October 29, 2025: In a thrilling Section IV Class C semifinal, the Groton Red Hawks traveled to Trumansburg for a high-stakes matchup with a trip to the title game on the line. The home team got on the scoreboard early in the first half, but Greene connected on a late goal and a double overtime-winner to lift them to a 2-1 victory and a trip to the tournament's quarterfinals on Saturday.

Tuesday, October 21, 2025: The Section IV Class C Boys Soccer Tournament kicked off at Southern Cayuga, where the Falcons hosted the Red Hawks. Southern Cayuga struck first with just over 10 minutes remaining in the opening half and never looked back. Behind a dominant performance from Braxton Young - who netted a hat trick - the Falcons cruised to a 4-0 victory to advance in postseason play.

Saturday, October 18, 2025: In the final matchup of Championship Saturday at Tompkins Cortland Community College, Southern Cayuga and Tioga battled for the IAC Small School Girls Soccer title. The two sides traded chances through regulation and into overtime, but it was Rosemary Glennon who delivered the decisive moment - a clutch header in the second extra period - lifting the Falcons to a 1-0 victory and their first-ever conference championship.

Saturday, October 18, 2025: From Tompkins Cortland Community College, Trumansburg and Elmira Notre Dame battled for the IAC Large School Boys Soccer Championship. After a scoreless first half of soccer, the Little Red scored two unanswered and completed the shutout of the Spartans, to win their first conference crown in 21 years by a 2-0 final.

Thursday, October 16, 2025: Under the lights in Moravia, the Blue Devils hosted Lansing for a Thursday night Section IV football showdown. The home team got on the scoreboard on the opening kickoff thanks to Eli Landis and never looked back, as they took control of the ballgame and picked up the 67-14 win over the Bobcats.

Wednesday, October 15, 2025: With a trip to the IAC Championship on the line, Trumansburg and Lansing battled through 80 intense minutes in Wednesday’s Large School North division tiebreaker. Trumansburg found the equalizer with just over three minutes left to force a penalty shootout — and in the end, it was Will Foster who sealed the deal. His clutch PK gave the Blue Raiders a 5-4 shootout win and the division crown after a 3-3 draw in regulation.

Friday, October 10, 2025: Under the lights at Tarbell Field, Trumansburg hosted Spencer-Van Etten/Candor. A low-scoring defensive first half gave way to 28 unanswered points for the Blue Raiders, as they picked up the home victory 28-6.

Thursday, October 9, 2025: With the STAC West Division title on the line, Ithaca hosted Horseheads under the lights at Moresco Stadium. Both teams traded first half goals and also traded early second half goals, but in the end, Sonia Enns played hero for the Little Red in double overtime, to lift the home team to a 3-2 victory and claim the division crown.

Wednesday, October 8, 2025: From Southern Cayuga the red-hot Falcons hosted Groton in a pivotal IAC Small School North showdown. The visiting Red Hawks picked up two goals in the second half and used stingy defense to propel them to a 2-0 victory.

Friday, October 3, 2025: Under the lights at Moresco Stadium, Ithaca hosted Binghamton in a key showdown. Thanks to six total touchdowns by quarterback Jack Barton, the Little Red picked up the wire-to-wire win at home by a 47-26 final.

Wednesday, October 1: It was an IAC North Large Division clash on the pitch between Lansing and Trumansburg girls soccer under the lights at Tarbell Field. The Bobcats struck early, the Blue Raiders rattled off four unanswered goals—led by Allison Denmark's hat trick—to prevail 4-1 and stay unbeaten on the season.

Tuesday, September 30: It was an IAC Small School North showdown on the pitch as Marathon hosted Southern Cayuga in a divisional matchup. The Olympians scored midway through the first half and never looked back, en route to a 5-0 victory while claiming the division title.

Monday, September 29, 2025: It was an instant classic from Watkins Glen as the Lake Hawks hosted Trumansburg in an IAC Large School showdown. The Lake Hawks held a 2-0 lead early in the second half but the Blue Raiders scored three unanswered goals over the final 27 minutes of action to propel them to a 3-2 victory.

Saturday, September 27, 2025: Under the lights at Cancro Field, Newfield searched for its first win of the season against Edison. But the Spartans struck early and never let up, piling on six first-half touchdowns to cruise past the Trojans, 54-14.

Friday, September 26, 2025: Under the lights in Moravia, the unbeaten Blue Devils hosted the 2-0 Dryden Purple Lions. Moravia struck first less than four minutes in and never looked back, rolling to a wire-to-wire 61–24 victory.

Thursday, September 25, 2025: In a rematch of last year's Section IV Class B quarterfinal, Union Springs/Port Byron hosted Watkins Glen for a Thursday showdown. Goals from Natalee Oliver and Aleah Ventra lifted the Lake Hawks to a 2-0 road win.

Wednesday, September 17: Under the lights at Ross Field, Groton hosted Lansing in a Tompkins County showdown. Bailey Vliet's goals early in the first half and late in the first half were the difference as the Red Hawks picked up the win 2-0.

Tuesday, September 16: Under the lights at Moresco Stadium, Ithaca hosted Horseheads in a STAC West showdown. The Little Red struck late in the first half for the opening goal, then pulled away in the second half behind a pair of goals from Charley Leyden Githler to secure a convincing 3-0 victory.

Monday, September 15: Under the lights at Tarbell Field, Trumansburg and Marathon delivered an instant classic. After a tightly contested, scoreless first half, both teams found the back of the net less than ten minutes apart early in the second half. Chances continued at both ends through regulation and two overtimes, but neither side could find the winner, as the matchup ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

Friday, September 12: Under the lights at Ross Field, Groton hosted Walton in the program's first 11-man football game since 2021. The two teams traded touchdowns, turnovers and big time plays, but in the end, the Warriors escaped with the road victory against the Red Hawks 26-20.

Tuesday, September 9: Southern Cayuga and Marathon delivered a divisional showdown worthy of the hype in an IAC Small School North clash. After 40 minutes of back-and-forth action, the match headed to overtime. That’s when Haylee Young played hero for the Falcons, burying a free kick in extra time to lift Southern Cayuga to a 1-0 victory over the Olympians.

The Section IV football season is officially underway, opening with a tight Week 0 battle between Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour and Newark Valley. The Storm struck first with a 14-0 lead, but the Cardinals stormed back with 19 unanswered points and held off a late drive to secure a 19-14 victory.

Friday, August 29: Our Section IV broadcast season began on the pitch with a Tompkins County showdown as Trumansburg hosted Lansing. In a highly contested matchup, Duncan Gattine's lone goal in the 47th minute proved to be the difference maker, as the Blue Raiders picked up the 1-0 victory.

Friday, June 13: From SUNY Cortland’s White Field, Ithaca squared off with Section I’s Suffern in the New York State Class A Girls Lacrosse Semifinals - marking the program’s first-ever appearance at this stage. The Mounties opened the game with a dominant statement, netting eight unanswered goals in the first half. Ithaca responded with a four-goal surge in the third quarter to climb back into contention, but couldn’t close the gap in the final frame, falling 11-5. The Little Red finish their historic season with a 17-2 record.

Saturday, June 7: From Chenango Valley High School, Ithaca took on Valley Central in the New York State Class A Regional Championship. The Little Red struck just a minute into the game and never looked back, cruising to a dominant 15-4 wire-to-wire victory. It's the first regional title in program history, as Ithaca heads to the New York State Semifinals for the first time ever.

Monday, June 2: From Susquehanna Valley High School, Lansing faced Oneonta in the Section IV Class B Championship. The Yellowjackets took an early 1-0 lead, but the Bobcats tied it up in the third. With the game coming down to the wire, Oneonta's Brady Carr delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning that proved to be the difference, as the Yellowjackets secured a 2-1 victory and punched their ticket to the New York State Tournament.

Friday, May 30: Ithaca takes on Corning from a rainy Moresco Stadium for a trip to the New York State tournament. The Hawks take control of this one early, off the back of a hat-trick performance from both Kohl Hogue and Tully Fratarcangelo. With the win, Corning claims their sixth straight Section IV title.

Friday, May 30: Trumansburg meets Deposit-Hancock at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton for the Section IV Class C title. A back and forth contest breaks open after the Eagles take control in the 5th inning. Deposit-Hancock takes the win and the championship, their fourth in a row.
