The Wolves' bats got going early and often against Tioga, but it was Hailee Smith who stole the show in the circle and at the plate. She threw a complete game shutout and hit a three-run homerun, to lift the Wolves to a 6-0 win from Wells College.

The teams traded buckets through the first three quarters, but a late surge from the Lake Hawks gave them a nine-point lead entering the fourth. The Black Knights battled back, forced costly turnovers in the final minute, and took the lead late to secure a 58-56 win, claiming their first sectional title since 1999

Saturday, March 7, 2026: From The Rink in Lansing, Ithaca faced Pittsford with a trip to the New York State semifinals on the line. After a scoreless first period, the Panthers turned up the pressure, scoring four goals over the final two periods en route to a 4-0 victory and a trip to Buffalo for the state final four.
