The hardline approach on migration outlined by Liberal leader Angus Taylor has been met with harsh criticism from former Prime Minister Paul Keating, Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja, and Amnesty International to name a few.
But Mr Taylor singling out the recent cohort of refugees from Gaza has raised separate concerns from the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre which says Australia is already failing to learn from previous policy failures.
