Providence Journal college basketball podcast: Bryant drops a thriller, PC looks to rebound, URI opens Atlantic 10 play and a critical weekend for Brown

View descriptionShare

Welcome back to the latest edition of the Providence Journal's college basketball podcast. Journal sports writer Bill Koch was joined by WPRI and Fox Providence sports director Morey Hershgordon on Friday morning.

Bryant dropped an overtime thriller at Wagner without head coach Jared Grasso and missed a chance to take an early hold on the top spot of the Northeast Conference (1:30).

No. 16 Providence looks to bounce back against St. John's after ending a 1-1 road trip with a loss at Marquette (10:05).

The University of Rhode Island tries for the fourth time to open Atlantic 10 play with a Saturday visit to Davidson (21:45).

Should the Friars or Rams have made more of an effort to keep Cumberland native Tyler Kolek at home? The discussion might not be that simple (31:55).

Brown has reached a critical point of the season in its first full Ivy League weekend. The Bears visit Harvard and Dartmouth this weekend and need at least a split to stay on a path for a conference playoff berth (43:25).

Thanks as always for listening.
