Welcome and happy Thanksgiving to all our Providence Journal College Basketball Podcast listeners. This is Bill Koch with the Journal and I'm joined by my usual co-conspirators -- Nick Coit, the ABC6 sports director and WEEI weekend co-host, and Morey Hershgordon, the WPRI and Fox Providence sports director.
Providence crapped out over the weekend at Mohegan Sun, swept by Miami and Saint Louis (2:00). The University of Rhode Island got off to a tough start in the Cayman Islands, blitzed by Kansas State in the Monday opener of a three-game stay (15:15).
Bryant is back from a three-game Florida swing after going 2-1, and now they prepare for a Saturday showdown at Syracuse (27:40). Brown broke through for its first win to start a three-game homestand, and it has another chance Wednesday night (38:10).
We close with a look at the women's scene in the state -- the Rams hosting Coppin State on Tuesday, the emerging Bears on a three-game winning streak and a pending clash between the Friars and Bulldogs in a holiday tournament this weekend (48:50).
Thanks as always for listening. Best to you and your families.
