It's known now why the second "Twitter Files" release took so long.  Well...it was Jim Baker, former FBI General Counsel, who actually worked at Twitter as Deputy General Counsel, who was "vetting" the files he was releasing to journalists Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss before they were to release them to the public.  Obviously, Elon Musk promptly fired Baker from Twitter.
