Crime in Philadelphia keeps getting worse with each passing day, as the city eclipses 400 homicides in 2022.  The latest violence impacts Fast Eddie's neighborhood as a 14-year old boy was killed, four other teenagers wounded in a shooting at the Roxborough High School football field.  The shooting takes place the same day Mayor Jim Kenney issues an executive order banning guns at Rec Centers in Philadelphia.

• MICHAEL POON – Attorney at the Pacific Legal Foundation (PacificLegal.org) | A lawsuit seeking to block President Biden’s plan to cancel some student debt claims the policy is not only illegal but could inflict harm on borrowers in some states who would be forced to pay taxes on the forgiven amount.  The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on Tuesday, is the first significant legal action seeking to invalidate Biden’s policy before it takes effect.  The Pacific Legal Foundation asserts that the executive branch lacks the authority to create a new forgiveness policy and is usurping Congress’s power to make law.
